About Robert Carlson, Jr.

Bob Carlson has held leadership positions in large agribusiness cooperatives and related companies for more than 20 years.

Today, he is taking time to expand his coaching business and also serves in temporary leadership roles for companies seeking to replace their top talent. He is a respected chief executive officer, business consultant, senior consultant and business coach within the agribusiness industry.

Before entering the consulting and coaching field, Bob served as president and CEO of Premier Cooperative, a grain merchandising and energy cooperative with 26 locations, in excess of 50 M bu of storage and unit train facilities on the NS, CSX, CN and UP Class I Rail Lines. Prior to that, he spent 10 years at Landmark Services Cooperative in Cottage Grove, MN, serving as COO for four years and CEO for six years. During his tenure at Landmark, four divisions reported gross sales in some $568 million across 24 locations in 16 rural communities throughout south-central Wisconsin and northern Illinois. Landmark’s four divisions and two subsidiaries included energy and retail, grain, agronomy, animal nutrition, Landmark Logistics (over-the-road tractor trailers), and Verity Business Solutions. He also was director of Producer Lending for Cofina Financial for 10 years. There, he headed a team of six Ag Lenders who provided financing for agricultural producers from Michigan to the Pacific Northwest, and from North Dakota to Nebraska.

Bob holds an MBA in Finance from the University of St. Thomas, Opus College of Business. He earned his undergraduate degree in Business and Public Administration from the University of North Dakota.  He is in the midst of completing requirements as a Series 7 Certified Coach from the Institute of Leadership and Management.

Bob and his wife Lisa have three grown children, and one granddaughter.
